‘The Lost City’ Adventure Golf

Is it just me, or are you always looking for somewhere new and exciting to visit, too?

I recently decided I wanted to go on a road trip to see another City, far enough out of London, without being too far – if that makes any sense?

I took it upon myself to do some research as I haven’t actually seen much of the UK, outside of London.
After some consideration, I decided to visit Nottingham.

Next, I needed to find something fun to do on my visit.

Whilst researching, I came across The Lost City Adventure Golf.
Adventure Golf is right up my street – entertaining, competitive and always a laugh. This was exactly the kind of activity I was looking for. The best thing about Adventure Golf is that you do not need any golfing experience, beginners are always welcomed.

Situated in the heart of Nottingham’s City Centre, ‘The Lost City Adventure Golf’ is the place to be when in Nottingham.
The Lost City hosts two separate 18 hole, rainforest themed, indoor adventure golf courses – Sacred Skull Pass and Temple Trail. You can either choose to complete an 18 hole course, or do both, the Sacred Skull Pass and Temple Trail, making it a 36 hole game.

Upon entering The Lost City, I was struck by how well the rainforest theme was put together. From the moment I entered, I felt as though I was in an actual rainforest, from the realistic sound effects to the spot-on lush, green decor.

This theme is played out throughout The Lost City with the ‘Sacred Skull’ course inviting visitors to compete for the Inca Gold where you will meet a Bengal Tiger, an alligator and talking dragons. Similarly, the ‘Temple Trail’ course challenges visitors to reach the Temple and win the Inca Gold. You will need ensure you don’t come face to face with the animals who’s calls can be heard for miles on this course, you’ll meet Stone Face Rock but watch out for the moving walls and the 23 foot long snake – that’s if you make it until the end!

Moreover, I was very impressed with the customer service at The Lost City. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating. I brought my sister (who has Down’s Syndrome) along who loves mini golf and some healthy competition. She was excited to begin our game and engaged in conversation with the staff at reception, who readily reciprocated and were patient and kind, which I really appreciated.

The Lost City also hosts a themed cocktail bar serving a variety of exotic cocktails, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. This is ideal for visitors to enjoy some drinks pre or post game. The bar gives visitors the opportunity to suss out their competition beforehand or a place to work out the scores afterwards – which is what I did, whilst enjoying a piña colada.

A visit here won’t break the bank either; prices are very affordable, with family, student and senior citizen discounts available. Opening hours are 10:30am – 11pm daily (10am on weekends), and until 10pm on Sunday’s, which gives everyone the chance to visit, regardless of your work schedule.

Quick fact – both of the courses at The Lost City have been designed to be wheelchair user and pushchair friendly, so all adventurers can join in the fun!

All in all, if your looking for somewhere different to visit, The Lost City is the place for you! Adventure Golf is not only suitable for everyone aged from three upwards, it is the perfect activity to do with the family, your friends, for a work night out or even a first date.

Whether you live in, surrounding the Midland area, or you just fancy a road trip to somewhere new, I would definitely recommend The Lost City Adventure Golf!
